For us winter sports means safe enjoyment of skiing and the winter landscape. In order to further this safety, WINTERTECHNIK has developed a radar locating system for avalanche victims: PASS – the Personal Avalanche Secure System – is used in helicopters for the rapid location of buried people. PASS localises things embedded in the snow and under ice. Using the calculated position information, helpers can find the buried people much more quickly and can intervene to save lives.
